Requiring waivers at registration

You can make players read and sign a liability waiver before they register for your events. A club can require one, a sanctioning organization can require one, and an event under both can require both at once. Signatures are kept as a legal record you can review and export.

Setting up a waiver

• Club waiver — go to your club's Settings and find the Registration waiver card.
• Organization waiver — on your organization's Manage page, open the Waiver tab.

A brand-new waiver starts from a standard sample template you can edit or replace. Give it a title and paste the full waiver text — that exact text is what players agree to and what's stored with each signature.

Then choose your policy:

• Require this waiver — turn the requirement on for every event (the club's events, or every event the organization sanctions).
• Let event organizers turn it off for a specific event — when checked, an organizer can waive the requirement on a single event. When unchecked, the requirement is locked and can't be skipped per-event.
• How often must players sign?
  • Once — valid until you change the waiver text.
  • Every event registration — a fresh signature is required for each event.

Per-event override

When you create or edit an event, a Waiver card shows whenever a required waiver applies. If the owner allowed overrides, you'll get a toggle to turn the requirement off for that one event. If the requirement is locked, the card shows it as required and you can't turn it off — so you always know it's in effect.

Who signs, and how

• Self-service — players sign a short scroll-and-agree step the moment they tap Register. They can't register past it.
• Walk-ins — when you add a guest to a waiver-required event, they sign on your device (they type their legal name and agree) before they're seated.
• Members you add — when you add existing members to the roster, they're seated right away and then notified to sign. They'll also see an in-app banner prompting them to sign the next time they open Skoryd.

Roster waiver status

On the event page, the roster shows a Waiver status list with a running signed / total count. Each player is marked ✔ Signed or ⚠ Waiver missing, so you can see at a glance who still owes a signature.

Exporting the signature record

Under the Waiver status list, Download signatures (CSV) gives you the full legal record for the event — one row per player per required waiver, with the signer's typed name, when they signed, the method (self, on-device, or attested by an organizer), who facilitated it, and the exact waiver text they agreed to. Keep it for your records or hand it to whoever needs proof that participants signed.
