Confirming & disputing scores
Every match score is agreed by both sides before it counts. This is what keeps stats honest — no one can finalize a result in their own favor.
The approval flow
- Enter rounds — one side scores the match on their phone, tablet, or a kiosk.
- Submit — when the game is over, the match moves to pending approval. Submitting does not auto-approve the submitter; both sides still confirm.
- Confirm — each side taps Confirm score on their own device. (An organizer reviewing a match sees Approve as organizer instead.)
- Final — once both sides have confirmed, the match is approved, the winner is locked in, and it counts toward stats.
Note
You confirm on your own device. If you scored the match on your phone, your opponent still confirms on theirs. This two-sided check is the real protection against faked results.
Getting nudged to confirm
Whenever a match is waiting on your confirmation, a banner appears at the top of every page: "N matches need your confirmation." Tap Confirm (or Review) to act on it. This banner is the reliable nudge — it's there on every page until you've confirmed.
If the match was scored on a kiosk and you've enabled notifications, you'll also get a push to open the app. When players score on their own phones, there's no push — the top-of-page banner is how you'll know a result is waiting for you.
Disputing a score
If you don't agree with the result, tap Dispute instead of Confirm. This:
- Resets both confirmations and marks the match disputed.
- Locks the match for players (no more score entry) until an organizer steps in.
- An organizer reviews and force-approves the correct result.
You can still dispute even after you've already confirmed, as long as the match hasn't been finalized.
Fixing a finalized score (organizers)
Recorded a result the wrong way round, or need to correct a score after it was already approved? Open the match and tap Reopen & correct score.
- The match goes back to in progress so you can fix the score.
- Re-enter or edit the score, then it's confirmed again like any other match.
- Stats update automatically — the old result is removed and the corrected one takes its place on the leaderboard.
This is an organizer action (for Quick Play, the organizer or a site admin). It's available on regular league, tournament, Quick Play, and bracket matches.
Note
Reopening a bracket (single/double-elimination) match also resets any later matches that were already played using the old result — if the corrected score changes who won, the bracket needs to advance again. The confirmation tells you how many downstream matches will be reset; those matches return to scheduled and must be re-scored.
Guest opponents
If the other side is all guests (players without accounts), there's no phone for them to confirm on — so a single tap from the real player confirms for both sides. On a kiosk, an all-guest match is finished right on the tablet.
