Kiosk scoring

Kiosk scoring lets you dedicate a tablet to a board for a whole event — no one has to log in, and the tablet just scores whatever match is on that board next. Great for a shared scoring tablet at each court.

Setting it up

  1. On the event page (cornhole events that are active or registration-closed), open the Scoring kiosk card. This appears for organizers only.
  2. Skoryd shows a QR code for each board, plus a copyable link per board.
  3. On each tablet, scan its board's QR (or open the link). The tablet is now bound to that board for the event.

The tablet gets a long-lived cookie so it stays a kiosk across matches and even after the screen sleeps — you set it up once at the start of the event.

How it scores

  • The kiosk always shows the current match for its board and lets anyone score it on the tablet — no account needed.
  • When you tap a team's score to enter a round, the input card offers two styles — Boxes (tap 0–4 for each side's bags in the hole and on the board) or Grid (one tap per side on the exact outcome). Switch between them at the top of the card; the tablet remembers your choice. Either way the scoring is identical.
  • When a game finishes, the kiosk submits it to pending approval. The players still confirm on their own phones — the kiosk can't finalize a match that includes a real player.
  • Submitting sends a push to every (real, non-guest) player in the match who still needs to confirm, reminding them to open the app and approve the score so it finalizes. Players who've turned on notifications get the push; everyone sees the "needs your confirmation" banner in-app regardless. (This is the one path that pushes players — own-phone scoring doesn't.)
  • After a match wraps, the kiosk auto-advances to the next match on that board with no reload, so it stays full-screen all event. A "waiting" screen shows between matches.

All-guest matches

If every player in a match is a guest (no accounts, so no phones to confirm on), the kiosk shows a Finish match button — one tap finalizes it right there. A match with even one real player can never be finalized from the kiosk.

Full-screen tips

On the tablet, use the full-screen button in the kiosk header (where supported). On iPhone/iPad, install Skoryd to the home screen first for true full-screen.

Safety & the kill switch

The board link is a bearer credential — anyone with it can score that one event until you revoke it. It can't see player data, other events, or anything beyond scoring that board.

Heads up

When the event is over (or if a link leaks), tap Revoke links on the Scoring kiosk card. Every active kiosk for that event is cut off immediately and shows a "link invalid or revoked" screen. Links also expire on their own after 30 days.

Calling for help

A scorer at a kiosk can tap Request assistance to summon an organizer without leaving the game — see Requesting assistance.
