Guests & walk-ins

Not everyone who shows up has an account. Guest players let you include walk-ins in matches and events right away, and let them claim their results later.

Adding a guest

When you're starting a Quick Play match, tap + Add guest player instead of scanning a QR; when filling an event roster, use Add guest + register. You give the guest a name (and optionally a real email). Skoryd creates a lightweight guest profile and a claim code in the form G-XXXXXX.

Give the claim code to the player so they can claim their results once they sign up. If you provide the same email again later, Skoryd reuses the existing guest instead of creating a duplicate.

How guests appear in stats

  • Real players get full credit for matches against a guest.
  • The guest themselves is hidden from public leaderboards (their stats are private) until they claim the account.

Claiming a guest profile

When the guest creates a real account and enters their G-XXXXXX code:

  • All their past matches and registrations are re-attributed to the new account.
  • They're automatically added to the club as a pending member for an organizer to approve.
  • The temporary guest profile is removed.

Note

Unclaimed guests are cleaned up automatically after about 30 days. Deleting a guest doesn't delete the matches they played — the guest's slot just becomes "TBD" so the historical result stays intact.

Club vs global guests

A guest you create in club Quick Play or a club event is tied to that club (you must be an approved member to create one). Global Quick Play guests aren't tied to a club.
