Affiliating your club with an organization

If a sanctioning organization runs official events for your sport, your club can affiliate with it. Once approved, your club's events can be marked as sanctioned by that organization, in the region it assigns you.

Who can apply

Only the club owner applies — the owner is the club's tie to the organization. Co-organizers can run sanctioned events once the club is approved, but the owner is the one who submits (and is recorded as the contact).

Applying

1. Go to Club Settings → Organizations.
2. Under Apply to an organization, choose the organization.
3. Pick your preferred region (required) — the area you think your club belongs to. The organization makes the final call.
4. Choose whether you're applying to be a regional director or an event organizer (required).
5. Answer the organization's questions. Each organization sets its own application form, so what you're asked varies.
6. Submit application.

Your application starts as pending. The organization reviews it and either approves it (assigning your club a region and adding you to its people tree with the role you'll hold) or rejects it.

After you're approved

• The Organizations card shows the organization with an approved badge and the region you were assigned.
• Any of your club's organizers can now mark events as sanctioned — see sanctioning an event.
• You can affiliate with more than one organization; each one is its own application.

If you're rejected

A rejection can include a reason from the organization, shown on your Organizations card. You can update your application and re-apply — choosing the organization again pre-fills your previous answers so you can adjust them. (If the organization chose to block re-applications, the card will say so and you won't be able to re-apply.)

Withdrawing and re-applying

You can withdraw from an organization at any time from the same card. If your application was rejected, you withdrew, or the club's ownership changed (which ends the membership), you can simply apply again.
