Quick Play & QR scanning
Quick Play is for casual games that aren't part of a scheduled league or tournament — pickup matches at the bar, practice games, or a quick 1v1. The results still count toward your stats.
Starting a Quick Play match
- Open Quick Play from the menu (global), or tap the Quick Play button on a club's Overview page (club games).
- Add your opponent (and partners, for doubles) by scanning their QR code from their My QR Code screen (in their avatar menu) — or by creating a guest if they don't have an account.
- Start scoring. See Scoring a cornhole match.
Note
There's no "pick a name from a list" — you add players by scanning their QR (or adding a guest). This keeps anyone from logging matches for players who aren't actually there. A match against a real, present player still can't count until both sides confirm the score.
Playing several games in a row
Want to play more than one game without re-scanning everyone and re-entering the rules each time? When you start a Quick Play match, pick a Games option right under the format toggle:
- Single game (default) — one game, just like before.
- 3 / 5 / 7 games — a short series with the same players and rules.
For a series you can also flip Play all games:
- Off (best of) — the series ends as soon as one side clinches the majority (best of 5 stops at 3 wins).
- On (play all) — you play every game in the set and total them up at the end.
Once a game is finished and confirmed by both players, a Start next game button appears — right on the scoring screen — for the player who started the series. It begins the next game instantly: same players, same rules, no QR scanning. Both players see a small bar at the top of the scorer with the running series score (for example, Best of 5 · You 2–1 Opponent · Game 4); the other player just confirms each game as usual.
When the series is decided, you'll see a Play again button to start a fresh series with the same players. A Play again button also appears after a single game, so you can run it back without going through setup again.
Note
Each game is recorded separately — there's no single "series win/loss." Every game counts on its own toward your Quick Play stats, exactly like individual Quick Play games. The series is just a convenience so you don't redo setup between games.
Global vs club Quick Play
- Global Quick Play — open to anyone; play with any player you can scan.
- Club Quick Play — the player you scan must be an approved member of that club. Guests you create are tied to that club.
Quick Play leaderboards
Both the global and club Quick Play pages show three leaderboards:
- Quick Play Singles — your 1v1 record.
- Quick Play Doubles — your individual record in 2v2 games.
- Quick Play Teams — records for specific pairs of partners.
The global Quick Play leaderboard intentionally aggregates all quick play (both global and club games) so it's a complete casual-play picture. Each preview links to the full, paginated list.
