Skoryd

Install the app

Skoryd is a Progressive Web App (PWA). That means the website is the app — you can add it to your phone or tablet's home screen straight from the browser, with no app store and nothing to download.

We recommend it for everyone, whether or not you want notifications.

Why install it

  • It runs full screen. No address bar, no browser tabs — just Skoryd, the way a regular app looks.
  • It's easier to use at an event. Scoring, check-in and QR scanning all get the extra screen space, and your phone stops offering to reload the page mid-match.
  • You stay signed in while you scan. Check in for an event from the menu — My QR Code, then Scan a check-in code — instead of your camera sending you out to the browser, where you may have to sign in again.
  • It opens in one tap from your home screen instead of a bookmark.
  • On iPhone and iPad it's the only way to get notifications.

Everything works the same in a browser tab — an installed Skoryd is simply a much nicer place to use it. On iPhone and iPad the installed app keeps its own sign-in, separate from Safari's, so you may be asked to sign in once the first time you open it.

iPhone & iPad

  1. Open Skoryd in your browser (Safari is the surest one).
  2. Tap the Share button — the square with an up arrow.
  3. Scroll down and choose Add to Home Screen, then Add.
  4. Open Skoryd from the new home-screen icon. That's the app.

Note

Sign in again the first time you open it from the icon — the installed app has its own session, separate from the browser tab you were using.

Android

  1. Open Skoryd in Chrome.
  2. Tap the ⋮ menu in the top-right corner.
  3. Choose Install app — some phones and browsers call it Add to Home screen.
  4. Open Skoryd from the new icon. That's the app.

Chrome sometimes offers to do this for you: if an Install app button appears on your Dashboard, one tap does the whole thing.

Uninstalling

It's an ordinary icon — press and hold it, then remove or uninstall it like any other app. Nothing about your account, clubs, or match history changes; you can go back to using Skoryd in a browser tab any time.
