Quick definitions for the terms and acronyms used across Skoryd.

Scoring & stats

Cancellation scoring — the standard cornhole method: each round, bags in the hole are worth 3 and bags on the board 1, then the two sides cancel so only the higher side scores the round, by the difference. See Scoring a cornhole match.

Bust — going over the target score sends you back to a set value instead of winning (cornhole, when enabled). In darts, a visit that can't finish on a double busts and scores nothing.

Four-bagger (4B) — a round where all four of your bags land in the hole.

PPR — Points Per Round — gross throwing production per round (3 per bag in the hole, 1 per bag on the board), before cancellation.

OPPR — Opponent Points Per Round — the same measure for your opponents.

DPR — Defensive Points Per Round — derived from the gap between your production and your opponents'.

OPR — Overall Player Rating — a single 0–100 cornhole rating blending win rate and production. See Cornhole stats & OPR.

CV — Clutch Value — your bracket-stage PPR minus your round-robin PPR; positive means you raised your game in the playoff (cornhole).

Win rate — wins divided by games played.

Net vs gross — cornhole game outcomes (W/L, average points) use the net cancellation score; throwing production (PPR and friends) uses gross bags.

3DA — Three-dart average — darts: average points scored per three-dart visit.

Checkout % (CO%) — darts: how often you close a leg when you have a shot at the finishing double. See Darts stats.

180 — darts: a maximum visit (all three darts in the treble 20).

Play & formats

Quick Play — casual matches outside any scheduled event, still counted in stats. See Quick Play & QR scanning.

Singles / Doubles — one player per side vs two players per side.

Fixed partners / Blind draw / Partner Roulette — the three ways doubles partners are determined. See Event formats.

Partner roulette — a doubles format where partners rotate every round.

Near-Whist rotation — the partner-roulette scheduling method that maximizes partner and opponent variety while keeping boards balanced.

ThrowTrace — the doubles feature that credits each round's bags to the player who actually threw them (partners alternate rounds).

Events

League — recurring/season play (round robin or RR → bracket).

Tournament — a dated single- or multi-day event, any schedule type.

Round robin (RR) — everyone plays everyone.

Single / Double elimination — bracket formats; out after one loss, or after two.

Seed — an entrant's rank going into a bracket, used to keep the strongest and weakest apart early.

Snake seed — the placement pattern that distributes seeds across the bracket so top seeds don't meet until late.

Seed source — where seeding numbers come from (this event, the club, Quick Play, a previous event, global, or a season). See Brackets & seeding.

Season — a stats container for a date window; club or global. See Seasons.

Waitlist — the queue for a full event; the longest-waiting person is promoted when a spot opens.
