Finding & registering for events
Clubs run two kinds of events: leagues (recurring play) and tournaments (single- or multi-day brackets). Here's how to find one and sign up.
Where to look
- Inside a club — open a club you've joined and go to its Events tab to see everything it's running, with the sport, status, dates, fee, and how many spots are left.
- Public tournaments — from the Home page, tap See open tournaments to browse public tournaments across all clubs. This page works even when you're signed out.
Each event card shows its description, entry fee (if any), and the current registration count so you can see at a glance whether it's filling up.
Registering
Open the event and choose Register. What happens next depends on the format:
- Singles — you register yourself.
- Doubles (fixed partner) — you'll pick or be paired with a partner. Both partners share one team name.
- Other doubles formats (blind draw, partner roulette) — you register individually and partners are assigned by the format. See Event formats.
Fees & payment
During the current beta, payments are handled off-platform — an entry fee shown on an event is collected by the organizer directly (cash, Venmo, etc.). You'll still see the fee and the club's refund policy when you register. Free events and fee-exempt clubs show no charge.
The waitlist
If an event has a participant cap and it's already full, you'll be offered the waitlist instead. If a spot opens up, the longest-waiting person is promoted automatically (for free and cash events). You'll see your status change from waitlisted to registered.
Tip
Registration closes when the organizer starts the event or closes sign-ups. Once an event is completed, it's a permanent record and can't be re-opened.
