Follow other players to keep them in one place and jump straight to their stats.
How to follow someone
Open a player's profile — you can reach it from a leaderboard, a club's member list, or by scanning their QR code — and tap + Follow in the top-right of their profile.
You can only follow players whose profile is public. If someone keeps their profile private (or club-only), there's no Follow button, and following isn't available for guest players.
Note
Following is one-directional and needs no approval — the same way you'd follow someone on social media. The player you follow doesn't have to follow you back.
Watching a followed player live
When someone you follow is playing right now, their game shows up as a live scoreboard you can watch — the score updates in real time, right on a phone. When their game ends, the card switches to the final score.
There are two places to watch, and they behave a little differently:
- Your Following list — the "Live now" section. This is the page to keep open if you want games to appear automatically the moment a followed player starts playing — it refreshes itself, so new games pop in (and finished ones drop off) without you doing anything. It rounds up everyone you follow who's currently playing. Open it from Following in the menu under your name.
- A player's profile — the "Playing now" card. This shows that one player's current game if they're already playing when you open the profile. It won't make a brand-new game appear on its own, so if they start after you're already on the page, reload it to see the card. (Once a card is showing, its score still updates live either way.)
Note
Want live games to surface by themselves? Keep your Following list open — the Live now section there is the one that updates on its own.
Get notified when a followed player goes live
If you've turned on notifications, Skoryd can send you a push the moment a player you follow starts a match — tap it to open your Following list and watch.
Turn it on under Notifications on your profile: enable notifications on the device you want alerts on, then make sure Followed players go live is on (it's on by default). You'll get one alert per game, no matter how many devices you've enabled. You won't be notified about your own matches, and muting the toggle stops these alerts everywhere.
Note
On iPhone, push notifications only work if you've added Skoryd to your Home Screen and open it from there. If notifications aren't available, keep your Following list open instead — its Live now section updates on its own.
Your Following list
Open Following from the menu under your name (top-right). It lists everyone you follow, newest names sorted A–Z. Tap a name to open their profile and see their full stats, or tap Following on their row to unfollow.
Followers & following counts
Every public profile shows how many followers it has and how many players it's following — tap either number to see the full list. Because a public profile's stats are already visible to anyone on Skoryd, following doesn't unlock anything hidden — it's a shortcut to the players you care about.
A private profile has no active followers or following counts shown; going private takes you off the follow graph until you're public again.
If a player goes private
If someone you follow later switches their profile to private, they simply drop off your Following list until they're public again. You stay following them, but there's nothing to show while their profile is private.
